Migrantour Lisbon has been selected as a good practice in promoting the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) within the framework of the European project “Exchange for SDGs”. This project is funded by the Erasmus+ program and is promoted by the Spanish organization Neo Sapiens in collaboration with the Portuguese organization Fundação Cidade de Lisboa, a former partner of Renovar a Mouraria. This recognition follows the organization of a Migrantour Lisbon tour, in July 2023, for the group of participants involved in the European mobility activity of the project, which took place in Lisbon.
This acknowledgment allowed us to participate in the project’s final event held in Logrono, Spain, in November 2023. During a 3-day workshop, we had the opportunity to present the Migrantour Network, engage in various collaborative moments, share our experiences, meet other organizations, and collectively reflect on the SDGs through playful and creative activities.
The project culminates in the creation of a Good Practices and Resources Guide for Portugal/Spain.
The travel and stay were conducted based on all indicators of environmental, economic, and social sustainability, values inherent to all Migrantour initiatives. For example, the journey was made by bus.
This recognition reinforces Migrantour visits as a tool for citizenship and education, both for the general public and the school audience.
