Nexes has succesfully organized an interesting intercultural seminar in Barcelona attended not only by many Migrantour’s patners, but also by several new friends of our network. Among the organizations interested in the Migrantour project we met in Barcelona, here we would like to present She4She through the words of the Director of this wonderful association, Mary Mozafary:
“Migrant women Hungary association (She4She) is a small and growing organization established in 2017 with the aim of supporting women and to make sure women rights are respected especially in refugee and migrant backgrounds. We act together for gender equality and for the rights of all migrant women without discrimination based on ethnicity, race, religion, etc. We aim to develop women’s skills and represent migrant women in the widest circle possible which formulate and articulate their shared interests, and represent those before third parties as well as the state and members of society. Basically we focus on the main topic related to women’s needs in Hungary such as access to the health care system, education , labor market raising awareness, as well as facilitating women’s social inclusion and building their skills inclusively in a safe and friendly environment.”
To conlude, some final remarks by Mary about the seminar we experienced together in Barcelona:
I would express my heartfelt appreciation for the Migrantour seminar, which I found to be an incredibly enriching experience. The interactive discussions encouraged me to engage with different perspectives, fostering a sense of community among participants. I was particularly impressed by the emphasis on all activities, especially the fair part as well as informative tours, which highlighted the personal journeys of migrants and their contributions to society. The hands-on activities not only facilitated learning but also sparked a sense of curiosity and exploration within me. This seminar has inspired me to advocate for inclusivity and to further educate myself on migration issues. I left feeling empowered and motivated to share my newfound knowledge with others.”
