Here we are! The second edition of the Migrantour Network Newsletter in 2024 is out now: In the last months the Network’s partners have been more active than ever, as you will read in the collection of news below: from Verona to Barcelona, from Catania to Utrecht, reaching Turin, Milan, Bergamo to explore events, new itineraries and podcasts!
So many different activities about which we want to highlight a common feature: the aim of being opportunities for education to peace, reconciliation, mutual coexistence. As a matter of fact, we cannot forget that the context in which the daily work of the Migrantour Network partners takes place is a world crossed by terrible violence and marked by wars that deny human dignity. The forced migration of millions of people is one of the consequences of these conflicts.
In these painful times, the lines that the great German playwright Bertolt Brecht wrote almost a century ago remain a powerful admonition:
“The war which is coming is not the first one.There were other wars before it. When the last one came to an end, there were conquerors and conquered. Among the conquered, the common people starved. Among the conquerors, the common people starved too”.
