A square that is changing its face, between urban regeneration and plurality of voices. This is the heart of “Voices from Bella Piazza,” the new Migrantour Naples walk that, from October 1 to December 3, 2025, led to the discovery of the transformations underway in Piazza Garibaldi, the beating heart and gateway to Naples. The initiative was organized by Casba Soc.Cooperativa Sociale, in collaboration with the urban and social regeneration project La BellaPiazza, supported by Fondazione Con il Sud together with a network of institutions and foundations.
The new itinerary tells the stories of those who live in and pass through the square and the transformations initiated by the urban regeneration project, intertwining memories, points of view, and change. It starts from the new Portineria Garibaldi, a civic space and reception point, where you can hear the voices of operators who are involved on a daily basis in the care of common areas, the maintenance of green spaces and playgrounds, and the construction of places that restore vitality and a sense of community to the square. The walk then winds its way through shops, markets, and places of worship, opening up to places of migration, in continuity with the Migrantour Napoli experience, which since 2015 has been accompanying citizens and visitors to get to know the city through the eyes of its inhabitants of foreign origin.
