Migrantour Lisboa visited Migrantour Bergamo in January, as part of a European mobility project under Erasmus+.
We took part in two Migrantour visits, with two intercultural guides and two different routes, where it was possible to learn not only about the history of the area, but also about the life stories of the guides themselves. These were deeply rich moments of sharing, listening, and learning.
We shared good practices and reflected together on the challenges the project faces in both cities. Even so, we reinforced our conviction that Migrantour is a transformative tool: a powerful narrative told in the first person, which continues to challenge stereotypes and foster direct contact with different cultures, as if we were travelling the world without leaving the neighbourhoods of Bergamo.
At Migrantour Lisbon, we say that “there are worlds within Mouraria”, and we realised that there are also many worlds in Bergamo.
We strengthened partnerships, returned inspired to continue this journey, and are already dreaming of visiting another partner city. Which one will be next?
