Last year, at the University of Milan Bicocca, Alessandro Zerboni graduated in “Tourism, Territory and Local Development” with a thesis entitled “TOURISM IN MULTICULTURAL QUARTERS: TRAVELING WITH THE MIGRANTOUR PROJECT.” The thesis particularly devotes a chapter to Migrantour Parma’s educational journey.
In congratulating Alessandro, we take this opportunity to thank all the students (and the professors who supervised them) who have researched and written dissertations on our project over the years.
For Viaggi Solidali and the Migrantour Network, the relationship with universities has always been very important, both in terms of training and of a more general discussion about the meaning, potential and limits of our work.
On behalf of Viaggi Solidali, a big THANK YOU goes not only to thesis writers and professors, but also to all the intercultural escorts and local coordinators of the Migrantour project in all Italian cities who made themselves available for the interviews and dedicated their time to the students who made these theses!
