My name is Jozsef, I am 17 years old and I come frome Romania. I live in the oldest bidonville in France, the “Place du Samaritain”, in Seine Saint Denis. We are 80 families who came to France looking for better opportunities, we built our homes and a church in three little streets. I joined the European programme Migrantour within my civil service at “Les Enfants du Canal”. So, I could meet students and many people from other cultures, exchanging my story with them and the stories of the other families living in the Samaritain. I am a singer, interpreter, and social helper, and I hope to have the chance to bring you to visit Le Samaritain one day. Yet, we first need not to be sent away! We have been asking for 7 years to obtain a stable residence in order to be allowed to send children to school.
