Welcome to the first 2026 edition of the Migrantour Network Newsletter!
At the beginning of this new year, we are delighted to celebrate the excellent results our initiative achieved in 2025, and we look forward to the many new developments that await us in the months ahead.
In this issue, you will find information about the new Migrantour itineraries launched in recent months, updates on the training courses and events we are organizing, and insights drawn from the many publications and research projects dedicated to Migrantour. This Newsletter is being released at a time of year marked by rituals and celebrations linked to the transition from winter to spring. Thanks to international migration, celebrations commonly referred to as the Chinese New Year are now widespread in many European cities. In fact, this celebration is the Spring Festival—known in Chinese as Chunjie—which, according to the lunar calendar, marks the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse in 2026. According to tradition, this signals the start of a period characterized by vitality, momentum for change, dynamism, and a desire to grow and broaden one’s horizons—wishes that we warmly extend to all of you!
