Che Italia! A collective video story for a contemporary, open and in evolution Italy.

Che Italia! is the new communication campaign promoted by a network of organisations active in the field of citizenship, participation and rights: CISV, CoNNGI, Codiasco, Secondo Welfare, Generazione Ponte, Soomaaliya, Nuovi Profili, Acra and Viaggi Solidali.

Che Italia! is an exclamation that looks towards an authentic horizon. It is the acknowledgement of a real Italy, already alive and present: plural, in movement, inhabited by people, new Italians with a migrant background, who every day contribute to building and enriching the country with their stories and skills.

“With this campaign, we want to activate narratives able to tell the story of the real Italy: complex, pluralistic, already in movement. Che Italia! opens up spaces to enhance the relationships that hold communities together and give voice to those who build the country’s present every day. Because changing the way we tell the story of Italy also means transforming the way we live it, imagine it, and make it shared. An Italy that opens up is an Italy that grows, that strengthens, that looks to the future with confidence. Che Italia! is the result of an alliance between different realities, and we hope that many others will join us. Because it is precisely by working together – combining voices, experiences and visions – that we can give strength to these new narratives and contribute to real change”.

Through a video and a series of materials designed for schools, institutions and citizens, Che Italia! offers tools to encourage narratives that foster a sense of community and a shared vision.

Here is the video.

Schools, organisations, associations, informal groups and individuals are invited to download and share the campaign materials on their own channels, helping to spread an authentic and pluralistic narrative of today’s Italy.
