Migrantour Genoa. “Migrantour Certosa Edition”

A new Migrantour intercultural walk in Certosa: a journey just outside your doorstep to discover the world.
As part of the Subsidiarity Pact with QR Code “Quartieri in Rete Certosa e Campasso,” co-funded by the Municipality of Genoa and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the Solidarietà e Lavoro Cooperative proposed a new series of Migrantour Genoa events: five dates, from 25 October to 27 December, to explore the Certosa neighborhood through the eyes of those who live there every day, among memories, cultures, and encounters.
Migrantours, designed to promote intercultural and mindful tourism, aim to tell the story of how Genoa has always been a city shaped by migration and by encounters between different cultures. They offer a new way of discovering the area, especially those neighborhoods undergoing transformation, where foreign communities play an active role in building shared spaces.
This new intercultural walk is the result of research and co-design work with intercultural guides, who accompanied participants along an original itinerary featuring street art, ethnic shops, historic stores, and symbolic stops such as the Certosa of San Bartolomeo, today a place of welcome and encounter.
An opportunity to experience a zero-kilometer journey, allowing oneself to be surprised by the hidden richness of the neighborhood’s urban and human fabric: foods, recipes, legends, and above all life stories that speak of identity, transformation, and dialogue between cultures.
