Migrantour Milan. “Roads without borders”: an intercultural walk to celebrate diversity.

Migrantour Milano, by the Refugee Week Italia on 19 June, World Refugee Day, organised “Streets without borders”, an intercultural walk in the Porta Venezia neighbourhood to give voice to the stories of refugees and migrants who are now part of the fabric of the city.

The initiative allowed participants to rediscover one of Milan’s most symbolic neighbourhoods through the eyes and stories of those who have crossed borders in search of safety, dignity and a future. Not only testimonies of hospitality, but also of resilience, active contribution and intercultural richness.

“Streets without borders”, was an event of great symbolic and civic value, reaffirming every person’s right to feel at home and promoting the idea of an inclusive and open community. It was an experience that brought together places, people and memories, strengthening the sense of a “Greater Us”.

This initiative fully embodies the values that Migrantour promotes every day: hospitality, interculturalism, listening and building bridges between cultures.
