Migrantour Verona travelling across Europe!
Thanks to the Erasmus+ Routes of Mobility project, our team took part in two fantastic training sessions in Copenhagen and Barcelona. It was an incredible opportunity to meet colleagues from other cities, learn more about the Migrantour project and acquire new skills.
In the Danish capital, we explored the Nørrebro neighbourhood with a walk that took in some significant places: from Union (home of Crossing Borders) to the Arab School, from Queen Louise Bridge to Blågårds Plads, ending at Folkets Park. Each place offered us a unique perspective on the contribution of migrants to the cultural, economic and social fabric of Copenhagen. The experience was followed by training on the local migration context and the activities carried out by the Crossing Borders association.
In Barcelona, on the other hand, we took part in two separate walks: Poble-Sec and Raval. Both tours allowed us to discover very active social realities in neighbourhoods with a significant presence of citizens of different nationalities.
It was not just training, but a real cultural exchange that allowed us to explore the work of other European associations, specifically Crossing Borders in Copenhagen and Nexes Interculturals in Barcelona, both active in the field of inclusion and migration.
Migrantour at Education Day
Our commitment continues in the local area. On 3rd and 4th of September, we were present at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona for Education Day. This was a crucial opportunity to present our project to teachers and schools and to promote issues such as integration and intercultural dialogue, which are fundamental for the future of our community.
