{"id":10282,"date":"2019-06-13T13:33:24","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T13:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mygrantour.org\/?page_id=10282"},"modified":"2023-03-03T12:06:09","modified_gmt":"2023-03-03T12:06:09","slug":"towards-june-20th-world-refugee-day","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/migrantour.org\/en\/towards-june-20th-world-refugee-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Towards June 20th, World Refugee Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Towards next\u00a0<strong>June 20th, World Refugee Day,\u00a0Migrantour Network is pleased to offer FOR FREE its intercultural tours,\u00a0<\/strong>urban itineraries guided by intercultural\u00a0companions and realized to help people discover our cities as well as the most multicultural neighborhood of each city from foreign citizens\u2019 point of view and voice.<\/p>\n<p>The walks are starting on <strong>Saturday, June 15th<\/strong>\u00a0in <strong>Cagliari<\/strong> with\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/www.amicidisardegna.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amici di Sardegna ONLUS<\/a> that promotes a walk in which literature will serve to tell some delicate aspects of being a refugee (go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/MigrantourCagliari_15giu19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook event<\/a>), and then continue to <strong>Rome<\/strong> where on <strong>Thursday, June 20th<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viaggisolidali.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Viaggi Solidali<\/a>\u00a0will walk with the Network of Migrant Schools of Rome at 4 pm at the Esquilino (appointment in front of the church of Sant&#8217;Eusebio in Piazza Vittorio).\u00a0Also in <strong>Florence<\/strong> on <strong>June 20th<\/strong> there will be a <strong>Welcome Tour<\/strong>\u00a0for a group of girls welcomed in a Prato CAS and promoted by <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/OXFAM_Italia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oxfam Italia<\/a>.<br \/>\nOn <strong>Saturday June<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>22th<\/strong> many of the migrant cities in our network will be organising special walks for this occasion almost at the same time: in <strong>Italy<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viaggisolidali.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Viaggi Solidali<\/a>\u00a0offers free tours in <strong>Milan<\/strong> (in Via Padova from 10 am to 12 pm), <strong>Genoa<\/strong> (at 11 am in the Old City) and <strong>Turin<\/strong> where the walk to Porta Palazzo at 3 pm will be enriched by elements of storytelling (go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/MigrantourVS_GiornataRifugiato\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook event<\/a>); and in <strong>Pavia<\/strong>, the Cooperativa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.progettocontatto.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Progetto Con-tatto<\/a>\u00a0 organizes from 10 am to 12 pm an intercultural walk open to citizenship within the annual festival <strong>Africando, <\/strong>Festival of Conviviality of Differences, of which it is co-organizer, which will end with an intercultural aperitif (go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/MigrantourPavia_22giu19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook event<\/a>). In Europe, on the other hand, the partners <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/RenovarAMouraria\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Renovar A Mouraria<\/a>\u00a0 from <strong>Lisbon<\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/AlterBrussels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alter Brussels<\/a>\u00a0from <strong>Brussels<\/strong> are taking part in the day: both will promote tours with storytelling, in <strong>Lisbon<\/strong> 2 walks open to the public <strong>on Saturday 22nd and 29th June<\/strong>; in <strong>Brussels<\/strong> as part of the<strong> important public event of the Music Festival.\u00a0<\/strong>Also in <strong>Ljubljana<\/strong> with <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/TerraVera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terra Vera<\/a> one of the very<strong> first intercultural walks &#8211; in English, Spanish and French &#8211; scheduled for Thursday, June 20th<\/strong> (go to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/643065102838216\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Facebook event)<\/a>.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>In <strong>Paris<\/strong>, on the other hand, thanks to the MIGRANTOUR Project, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/BASTINA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bastina<\/a> has laid the foundation stone for the <strong>future <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france-terre-asile.org\/accueil\/actualites\/actualites-choisies\/la-maison-des-refugies-va-ouvrir-ses-portes-a-paris-en-juin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Maison des R\u00e9fugi\u00e9s&#8221;<\/a> in the 14th arrondissement<\/strong>, which will be <strong>inaugurated on Thursday 20th June<\/strong> on the occasion of this special day; while on <strong>Saturday 22th June<\/strong> it is promoting a walk entitled &#8220;Tissez la Solidarit\u00e9!&#8221; with La Sorbonne in the 10th arrondissement.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The celebrations for this day will end on <strong>Sunday June\u00a023rd <\/strong>in <strong>Bologna<\/strong> with <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/NextGenerationItaly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Next Generation Italy<\/a>\u00a0 which promotes the intercultural walk &#8220;Discovering the city of people&#8221; from 2.30pm to 5pm (go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/MigrantourBologna_23giu19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook event<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The MIGRANTOUR network never stops&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; Stay connected!<\/p>\n<p>The program, in the various cities, is still being defined.
